Neck Pain

The first time I presented at the Williston Center for Chiropractic Sports Medicine I was in extreme pain 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and could barely function with everyday life. My symptoms included headache, neck, shoulder and mid-back pain as well as overall stiffness. It had been bothering me for 20 months following a motor vehicle accident in which I was involved. The pain was so severe that I could not even hug or hold my kids for weeks after the crash. I sought help from medical doctors, physical therapies and another chiropractor, though nothing helped. It was my attorney who made the appointment for me at Williston Center for Chiropractic Sports Medicine for he had heard about Dr. John’s reputation and wanted me to give them a try. I had been frustrated to this point and didn’t want to pursue any further care.

My first impression of Dr. John, his staff and office was that there are people who really care about how I felt. Everyone – all the employees – I consider wonderful. As far as my results go, I feel Dr. John is a miracle worker, I can now do things with my kids, work is going well and I suffer with just a little stiffness if I push myself too hard. I would recommend chiropractic care for other people who are suffering or are in pain and I try to tell as many people about it as will listen.

I just want to thank Dr. John and his staff for helping me get my life back. I consider them second behind God. Please don’t change anything – you guys are great!

Sincerely,

Gail P .

Chronic Leg Pain

Back in September, 2000, I was helping my infant granddaughter learn how to walk. I was slightly bent over, holding her hands when I felt a pain and a pulling sensation in my right buttocks and hamstring. Over the course of the next few months the pain intensified to where it was constant, and it kept me from doing things, which I enjoyed, for the only way I found relief was to be in a sitting position. I tried a heating pad, which was helpful while I was using it, but it never gave me any long-term relief. My daughter was a patient of Dr. John Bisaccia for a different problem, but she felt he could help the problem that I was suffering from. After months of her keeping after me, I decided to contact his office in hopes of getting some relief. I had never been to a chiropractor before, but I was willing to give it a try, for the pain was so intense that I could no longer stand it.

When I first arrived at Williston Chiropractic and Sports Medicine, I was very impressed by how efficient the office ran and how friendly everyone was. Dr. John even said to me that he tries to run on time, for my time is as valuable as his, and he wants to make my visits convenient. I can honestly say I’ve never waited for more than ten minutes before being able to see the doctor.

After just two weeks of treatment, I can now walk without pain and do things that I couldn’t do for the last six months. I was given stretches and exercises, and the combination of treatment in the office and my home program proved extremely helpful. It was worth anything I had to do to help fix this for the better. I have told many people about chiropractic, anyone who will listen. In fact, two of my sisters, my daughter, and my nephew are all chiropractic patients. I truly cannot believe the results I’ve had, and I wish I had tried this approach sooner. I would just like to add that Dr. John Bisaccia is a wonderful doctor and a great human being. I am so glad that I found him.

Sincerely,
Shirley F.

Wrist pain and carpal tunnel

I came to Williston Chiropractic and Sportsmedicine for treatment of tendonitis in both my wrists and hands. I suffered from constant pain, loss of grip strength, and sharp stabbing pain for 7 to 8 months. This injury (resulting from my job) stopped me from working, driving, and most all day to day activities. I did 6 weeks of physical therapy with a hand specialist therapist. Exercises, stretches, and massage all aggravated my condition.

I had worked for a chiropractor in the past and I had knowledge of and faith in chiropractic treatment. It was my decision to try chiropractic. Workmen’s Compensation chose the hand specialist for me. I didn’t have any doubts that chiropractic could help me.

I spoke with Dr. John several times at the gym regarding my condition and he said he could help me. He was caring and confident in his approach to help me. His staff is great – very personable.

I noticed after my second visit that his treatment was helping. After only 3 weeks I’m able to do all normal activities (within limits). I can work and have fun again.

I have told many people about chiropractic. It works – just give it a chance. I’ve always believed in chiropractic, but even more so now. Dr. John’s approach to my condition was right on. I was impressed at how quickly I responded to treatments. I will continue regular visits to maintain and be healthier.

When you are injured, unable to do normal everyday activities (like take care of yourself, drive, do dishes, brush teeth, etc.) it affects your whole like. I just want to say thank you for helping me, Dr. John. My whole overall mental health and attitude is much better.

Dr. John – all the additional training you have added to your practice has paid off. I think a few different procedures you’ve done with me have made all the difference. Not all chiropractors have the same approach, but yours worked. What satisfaction you must get from helping all the people you do. This person appreciates it greatly!

Migraine headaches and Neck pain

I first presented to Dr. John’s office complaining of migraine headaches and a lack of motion in my neck and shoulder region. My pain was a type of nerve pain over my right eye and I suffer from it virtually daily. There was numbness at the top my head and skull with right eye pain and tightness in my neck and shoulders. I had to walk with my head tilted toward the ground rather than upright and straight, for this was more comfortable. I suffered with these symptoms for 29 years, since the age of 12. The symptoms were so bad that it limited my ability to think straight, study hard in school, which made it difficult now that I’m in college. I had to constantly save vacation time at work for breakthrough migraines that would just incapacitate me. I tried different types of medical treatments, always medications, anti-depressants, blood pressure medications, seizure medications, beta-blockers, pills, liquids, and now imitrix injections.

One day I visited my primary care physicians office, he was on vacation. The doctor filling in suggested that I try chiropractic and recommended Dr. John. I was confident that this new treatment would be better than my last 29 years of on and off different types of medication. My first impression of Dr. John, his office and staff was that I was in good hands with a young, energetic facility and a staff that was willing to help.

As far as my results go, I’ve been treated over 12 visits. I find very much relief along with my medications to control and virtually eliminate my every day pain. I now can safely turn my neck while riding my motorcycle which is one of my most favorite activities. I can stand tall and my neck feels to pivot where it should. It’s a fantastic feeling after each adjustment. I would and have recommend chiropractic to all my friends and other people who are suffering from neck, headache or low back problems. I’ve told many people about chiropractic and I cannot wait for the insurance companies to lift their restrictions on the care so I can continue a prosperous life which I missed for 29 years. I thank everyone at Dr. John and Marna Bisaccia ‘s practice and I think they’re the greatest.

Sincerely,

G.C.

Upper Back Pain Due to a Car Accident

Over the last three years I had back pain due to a car accident. It was in the right shoulder blade area, and it went into my neck. There was pain and numbness into my arm. It kept getting worse and worse to the point where I had a hard time working at my desk. I used to deny the fact that it was getting worse, but it got to the point where I could no longer take it. My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Bisaccia. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first. I had never been to a chiropractor before. The pain had been going on for so long, I wasn’t sure that I would ever get rid of it.

I felt very comfortable with Dr. John and his staff. He used adjustments, physical therapy, and neuromuscular reeducation to work on the area. At this point I am pain free on a regular basis, and I can work and travel without any problems. I absolutely recommend chiropractic to anyone who has muscle and joint pain. I am totally convinced of its effectiveness my family is super relieved that I don’t complain anymore. I have told many people about my experience at Williston Chiropractic and Sportsmedicine. I feel chiropractic is a safe alternative to invasive surgery or to doing nothing, and I thank you all for helping me feel better.

Sincerely,

H.C.

NMR For Chronic Pain of the Hip

I came to Williston Chiropractic and Sportsmedicine with persistent pain in my right hip. I was suffering from soreness and stiffness and had no flexibility in that joint. It was so bad that I was walking with a limp. The pain was increasing in severity over the past three years, but first became noticeable over thirty years ago. It was so severe that it limited my sporting activities such as golf and hiking, and it was getting to the point where it was bothering me with just walking. I took Advil daily to decrease the pain, but the pain never really went away. I was told that the pain was related to arthritis and a malformed hip from childhood. I wanted to avoid hip replacement surgery if possible. I had been to a chiropractor for treatment of back pain and allergies, and it had been successful, but thinking that this pain was from arthritis and from the joint problem of years past, I did not think that treatment would be helpful.

I found Drs. John and Marna to be very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. John explained to me the problem with my hip and that it was a combination of both the joint and the muscles attached. We discussed the use of Neuromuscular Reeducation in an attempt to relax the muscles that attach into my hip joint and hopefully improve on the pain. Dr. Marna performed the NMR treatments on my hip, low back, and buttock area and Dr. John performed my adjustments.

The improvement has been dramatic!. The daily pain is gone. I can walk 18 holes of golf without pain. I never thought I would have such a dramatic change. I anticipated a 50% improvement at best, which would have been acceptable, but today, I am at least 85% better than I was. The daily Advil is gone. I believe that this is something I will continue with for the rest of my life. Everyone who knows me and the pain that I was in has been told of the relief I have gotten via the NMR treatments. I would tell people to seriously consider chiropractic as an alternative before seeking more invasive solutions. Currently all the members of my family are under care.

Thank you very much.

NMR For Neck Pain and Stiffness

I first came to Williston Chiropractic and Sportsmedicine for stiffness to my neck and left shoulder area. I had chronic tightness that came from an injury back in 1975. I’ve had on and off pain for 25-30 years that would flare-up during fatigue or stressful situations. The stiffness would continue to increase until I had severe headaches, and it was really starting to affect my day-to-day activities. I had seen a chiropractor in 1998, and enjoyed marked improvement from those treatments. I felt that this round of chiropractic care would also be helpful.

The chiropractor I visited previously was very good, but I have found Williston Chiropractic and Sportsmedicine to be more thorough and extensive with treatment. My results were excellent. I can do all the things I did earlier without the pain. My neck hasn’t felt this good in 30 years. Thanks for making me feel better.

Sincerely,
–DS

NMR For Low Back and Groin Area

I first sought care at Williston Chiropractic and Sportsmedicine for very tight muscles and minimal flexibility. My low back and groin area were sore all the time, and I had a sharp, pinching pain in my groin and hips. It bothered me for five years. The pain hampered my ability to play soccer with full effort. This was a problem, for I am at a major university on a soccer scholarship and need to play at peak performance. I had previous treatments of massage and electric stimulation, but they were of little long-term relief. I was referred to Dr. Bisaccia through a series of doctors that I have been seeing. Friends of mine also recommended the office. I had not been to a chiropractor previously, and I was very eager to see if I could get results with this treatment.

Dr. John was very nice and felt he could help me. He had a unique approach to treating this problem (neuromuscular reeducation). I received a series of treatments (eight) over a one-month period and the results were almost immediate. At this point my whole soccer game has changed. I can now play in comfort without pain, and my speed has improved from looser muscles. Dr. Bisaccia’s treatments have done so much for me that I have told other people about chiropractic and this approach to muscle pain. I feel if after 5 years, I could be healed from my pain, just about anyone can. I’m a firm believer in chiropractic, and I can’t believe that it has done so much for me. It has really revolutionized the state of my body. Thank you Dr. John and the staff at Williston Chiropractic and Sportsmedicine.

Sincerely,
–T.S.

Doctors note: This patient’s father pulled me aside following one of his son’s visits and stated that he had watched him play soccer the day before and could not believe his speed and agility. He had not seen him play pain free in years and was amazed at his performance. He was “very grateful” for my help. The son has since returned to college but promises to keep in touch to report on his progress/status.
